Production has begun on my latest audiobook project, Pirates and Prejudice, a fantastic new Pride and Prejudice variation novel by fiction author Kara Louise!

Kara has written several wonderful books in the Jane Austen variation genre. And it’s no wonder that they have done so well! She is a talented writer who knows how to weave a thrilling – yet believable – plot, and how to craft a storyline full of endearing characters that get right to the reader’s heart. Pirates and Prejudice, her latest novel, offers a truly riveting, swashbuckling tale. The story takes our beloved hero and heroine out on the open seas for an adventure fraught with mistaken identity, shipwreck, swordplay, and dangerous run-ins with ruthless pirates! But Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy face an even greater challenge through it all…to forgive the past and embrace a future that’s well worth fighting for.

Here’s a synopsis, as provided by Amazon.com:

“After Elizabeth Bennet refuses Mr. Darcy’s offer of marriage, it takes a heavy toll on him. He withdraws to London and disappears near the docks, away from family, friends, and acquaintances. When he is mistaken for an escaped pirate, he is thrust into an adventure he would never have imagined. Will this be what he needs to forget the one woman he had come to love?

When her aunt and uncle have to cancel their plans to tour the Lake District, Elizabeth Bennet has the opportunity to sail to the Isles of Scilly with her father. After a pleasant visit, the voyage home brings storms, a shipwreck, and pirates! When she is rescued by gallant Captain Smith, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him. What will she do when she discovers he is the very man whose offer of marriage she refused just a few months earlier?”

I am a loooongtime Jane Austen fan – and, truth be told, a longtime fan of Jane Austen fanfiction, as well! I am, therefore, thoroughly thrilled about this opportunity to narrate this enjoyable and engaging JA variation story. I’ll be posting updates, both here and at Voiceovers by Tiffany Halla Colonna, so check back in to see how the project is coming along!

Avast, me hearties! Yo ho!!

(Thanks so much for reading, everyone.) 😉
