I’m a runner. Not an exceptionally fast one, but I do try to get out and run as often as I can, and I thoroughly enjoy it. And as I cover the miles, I listen. To music, podcasts, and audiobooks. I’ve been in a happy rut lately, returning time and again to the hilarious comedy, witty dialogue, and well-structured drama of Georgette Heyer’s novels. Most recently, I’ve been listening to a particular selection called Cotillion, narrated by Clare Wille. And I must say, she is an absolutely fantastic narrator.
So I looked her up on iTunes, and was quite happy to see that she’s done extensive narration work. Yay! (I’m always happy to find favorite audiobook readers who’ve read a good selection of books…loads of listening fun ahead.) 😉 Not only was there another Heyer work on the lengthy list – The Grand Sophy – but two of my favorite Elizabeth Gaskell novels, as well. (Including North and South, which reminded me that I’ve really got to get motivated again and get back on the ball with my solo reading of said novel for LibriVox! Yikes.)
It’s always encouraging to hear excellent audiobook narration. Even if I’ve not yet quite reached that kind of skill level. It’s something to shoot for, anyway. 😉
Have a lovely evening, all.
