Just a quick one today…which is right in line with the topic at hand. I’ve recently recorded another run of PSAs for a local radio station. What a challenge! Not because of the copy, itself, or anything like that. But because of the timing!
PSAs, by their very nature, often need to be rather emotive, convincing, and able to convey a moving and sincere message. That part is instinctive. No problem. You just let your heart get into the message and…voila! The real challenge comes in with the speed at which that message needs to be conveyed. Yikes. But it’s certainly doable.
I do, however, find myself relearning a lot with each and every one of these. 😉
Emotive, convincing, memorable…and really, really fast. A very good workout for the voiceover skills, to be sure!
